Under the Data Protection Act 1998 you have the right to a copy of the data held about you by us. AMSP Enrichment Events

By booking any 16-19 enrichment event offered by the AMSP you are agreeing to all terms and conditions associated with the event. This includes the Problem Solving Matters course and the online MAT, TMUA and STEP courses.

Event Booking

Please review all the information you submit in respect of your booking. By submitting a booking or registration form you confirm that all the information you submit is accurate, true and complete.

We will send you an email or other written acknowledgement confirming that we have received your request. We reserve the right to reject any booking request we receive.

Cancellation

You may cancel your place at any stage but we would appreciate as much notice as possible of such a cancellation so that we retain the opportunity to offer your places to another student or school. You may request a refund for a cancelled booking before the course starts, however MEI will not be liable for any resulting additional losses, travel expenses or teacher release expenses.

We reserve the right to refuse further applications from schools/colleges who repeatedly fail to notify us that they will not be attending or cancel too close to the date of the event for their place to be reallocated.

Cancellation or postponement by the AMSP

Events are subject to cancellation or postponement at our discretion, including where an event is under-subscribed. If the event is postponed, schools will be able to transfer their enrolment to the rearranged event.

If the time, date, venue or content of the event is changed after your booking, you will be notified and given the option to cancel your booking and request a refund. We shall not be liable for any additional loss, travel expenses, teacher release or damage resulting from such cancellation.

Conduct and safety at enrichment events

Students are expected to behave in a respectful way towards each other and all staff and speakers at enrichment events.

Students accompanied by their teachers are the responsibility of those teachers who will remain in loco parentis at all times and will be responsible for their students’ safety.

Unaccompanied students will be expected to behave in a sensible fashion. Unacceptable or inappropriate behaviour from unaccompanied students may result in their school being refused places at other AMSP events.

An emergency contact number is required when students are unaccompanied. For group bookings this should be a school number. For individual bookings this can be either a school contact or a parent/guardian. Information about what to do in case of emergencies will be shared at the start of events. All staff who are leading events on behalf of the AMSP have been DBS cleared.

Data privacy

The information that you provide on this and other forms, data collected on attendance and progress, and data collected by learning tools will be stored electronically and used for the normal running of the course.
